If the Denver Broncos wish to advance to the Super Bowl for the second straight season, they're going to need all 22 of their starters at the top of their games. The Broncos return much of the same nucleus from 2013 entering the 2014 season, but with a few new pieces. Here are five Broncos starters who will struggle during the 2014 season.

Bradley Roby was the Broncos' first-round draft pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Roby is an athletic and talented corner who was considered one of the top three cornerback prospects in this year's draft. He is expected to either be the No. 2 or nickel corner for the Broncos during his rookie season. The rookie will struggle with opposing offenses choosing to attack Denver's pass defense in 2014.

Aqib Talib is a top-tier corner in the NFL entering his first season with the Broncos. Talib has a history of injuries, as he has never played a full 16-game season in his six-year NFL career. Expect Talib to struggle with injuries in 2014. He'll also have to deal with what Roby will have to deal with -- opposing offenses attacking Denver's defense through the air because of how many points Denver's offense will put on the scoreboard.

Orlando Franklin started the first three seasons of his NFL career at right tackle, but is making the transition to left guard for the first time since he played at the University of Miami. Franklin will eventually get settled at the position as the season wears on, but expect some struggles early on in the season. With Peyton Manning as quarterback however, Franklin should be as consistent as they get at the LG position by the end of the season.

Malik Jackson started the last eight games of the season at left defensive end, after starter Derek Wolfe missed the last half of the season due to an illness. Jackson returns in 2014 to compete with Wolfe for the starting LDE position entering the season. Assuming Jackson wins the starting spot in training camp, one should not expect much production from the veteran, despite the fact he posted six sacks last season.

Montee Ball is the favorite to win the Broncos' starting RB job after sharing carries with Knowshon Moreno in 2013. With Moreno gone, the 2013 second-round draft pick will be the guy lining up behind Manning in 2014. Ball started receiving more carries as the season came to a close, and he fixed the fumbling issues that plagued him early on last season. However, expect Ball to struggle early on in 2014 before he regains his footing.
