The Baltimore Ravens have a lot of veteran talent on the roster, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. Just because there are veterans throughout the roster does not mean that all of them will make the team when it’s all said and done. With that said, here are five veterans who won’t make the Ravens’ 53-man roster.

Not particularly effective when he’s on the field, Jah Reid all but guaranteed a release from the team when he was arrested back in March. Reid isn’t good enough on the field to deal with the off-field headache, and he will find himself out of a job before long.

When the Ravens drafted C.J. Mosley in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft, it all but sealed the fate of Albert McClellan. With Mosley, Arthur Brown, Daryl Smith and Josh Bynes all on the roster, there’s no room for McClellan.

3. QB Tyrod Taylor

Although he has looked great in the preseason during his career, when Tyrod Taylor plays in games that actually matter, he falls apart. The Ravens drafted Keith Wenning in the sixth round, and apparently Wenning is already playing better than Taylor.

A practice squad player last year, Omar Brown has yet to contribute anything to the Ravens on the field. When you throw in the fact that the team has Terrence Brooks, Dexter Moody and Avery Patterson, it’s easy to see why Brown is expendable.

One of the worst starting centers in the league last year, Gino Gradkowski did nothing to prove he is worthy of a roster spot in 2014. With Jeremy Zuttah now on the roster, Gradkowski will find himself looking for work soon.
