The Cleveland Browns are looking forward to a season with a brand new regime. They have a new head coach in Mike Pettine. They got rid of most of the front office and gave the GM job to Ray Farmer. That means the team is going to make some changes to the roster. These things usually take time. Ultimately, these five will not make the cut.

The Browns have brought in a bunch of tight ends into camp to compete for the backup job behind Jordan Cameron. That is terrible news for veteran Gary Barnidge, who is trying to show he can be of use for the new regime. Coach Pettine will ultimately decide to go with a younger option.

Possibly the position battle with the most eyes on it is the one that involves Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer. The winner will be the Browns' Week 1 starter at quarterback. Lost in the shuffle is Tyler Thigpen. He was brought in as injury insurance. If one does not occur, the Browns will go with two QBs to start the year.

Isaiah Trufant came over from the New York Jets this season. He is looking to find a spot on the Browns' roster behind newly paid Joe Haden and first-round pick Justin Gilbert. He may make the roster, but the team could find a surprising player for a smaller price.

Earl Bennett and Miles Austin were brought into the Browns as insurance for a suspended Josh Gordon and an injured Nate Burleson. Gordon's suspension may not be season long as once feared and Burleson will be healthy once training camp starts. That means there won't be room for both veterans. I think that Austin has more of an upside, so that means Bennett will be without a job.

The Cleveland Browns have a plethora of veteran linebackers in camp this season. They just let go of Quentin Groves this week, and D'Qwell Jackson earlier in the offseason. Jabaal Sheard will see the same fate prior to Week 1. He will quickly find another job, however.
