The Atlanta Falcons are looking to bounce back from an awful performance in 2013. They have the talent to make a comeback, but the departure of veterans and health issues are a concern heading into the new season. With that in mind, let's take a look at five starters who are bound to struggle in 2014.

The Falcons' tight ends have some mighty big shoes to fill after the retirement of Tony Gonzales, and it looks like Levine Toilolo is the frontrunner to do so. At 6-foot-8, he is a huge red zone target, but his explosiveness, route running skills and blocking ability are all below average. Early struggles could lead to trust issues for QB Matt Ryan, which could damage Toilolo's production.

Roddy White's receptions have decreased every year since 2010. Of course, Julio Jones is taking away tons of looks from him, but little injuries here and there have been nagging him lately. White is 32 years old and will be turning 33 in November. With age comes a better chance of health problems, so his production may struggle again in 2014. He is still an extremely talented wideout, but I believe his better days have passed.

3. Kroy Biermann

Falcons OLB Kroy Biermann is looking to bounce back from a torn Achilles that he suffered last season. He has helped apply pressure to opposing quarterbacks throughout his career in Atlanta, but after only playing in two games in 2013, he has some catching up to do. A struggle in 2014 would be no surprise.

2. Dwight Lowery

After parting ways with Thomas DeCoud this offseason, the Falcons signed Dwight Lowery to take over starting duties at free safety. He was not very productive in Jacksonville, playing in only 25-of-48 games the past three seasons. I don't see Lowery returning to his New York Jets form in Atlanta. There is a chance that he runs into problems in the NFC South, especially against Drew Brees and Cam Newton.

Steven Jackson is looking to bounce back after one of his worst seasons in the NFL. Injuries were an issue, but he still played in 12 games. He averaged a career-low 3.5 yards per carry on 157 attempts for 543 yards. He may have a better year in 2014, but he will be 31 years old in July. He's got some serious tread on his tires, so the best of Jackson has likely passed.
