The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to take the next step as one of the best teams in the AFC. After falling short in the opening round of the playoffs last season, the Bengals will look to seek revenge. If they are going to take the next step they will need all players to play at a high level. With that said, here are five Bengals who will struggle in the 2014 season.

Despite having a solid 2013 season, Gilberry will take a step back this season. Gilberry will be replacing Michael Johnson, but he had a better year than Johnson last season. I feel that teams will respect Gilberry more this season, and he will receive more attention. Gilberry will have to fight off more pressure instead of flying under the radar, and that could make a huge difference in his play on the field.

With the Bengals drafting Darqueze Dennard, the pressure will be on Terence Newman to stave off the rookie for the No. 2 cornerback position. With Dennard turning heads in OTAs, Newman will have to be ready to play. I believe father time will have a hold on Newman this season and cause him to struggle.

Mohamed Sanu will likely start as a slot receiver this season with the improvement of Marvin Jones that will place him as the No. 2 wide receiver. Sanu's skill set better suits him for the outside despite his numbers not saying the same. It will be interesting to see Sanu play in that role, and I believe that it could cause him to struggle.

Is Leon Hall healthy enough to start? That's the question we should be asking, but if he does will his past injuries cause him to struggle? Adam Jones may be the better option in the long run, and I can see Hall struggling mightily as teams will look to attack him this season.

1. Andy Dalton

Last season Andy Dalton threw for over 4,200 yards, but it will be tough for him to duplicate that type of production. Dalton's contract questions will also loom large for him this season. Everyone will look to see better play from Dalton, but the problem is that he may have maxed out. I don't see him duplicating his production from last season, and he will struggle with the high expectations.
