We're still three months away from real NFL action being back, but it's never too early for some win total predictions. In this installment we'll make a prediction for every team based on their performance last season and draft selections this season.

32. Buffalo Bills - 6 Wins

Things seem to be trending upward in Buffalo. But the same can also be said for the rest of the AFC East. Unless EJ Manuel takes significant steps forward, the safe bet is that the Bills will end up in roughly the same position as last year.

31. Miami Dolphins - 8 Wins

Many have dubbed this as the year when Ryan Tannehill will really start to evolve as an NFL QB. If he does, the Dolphins could be in business. But overall, they seem destined for the middle of the pack in the AFC.

There's just no way the Patriots don't win the AFC East yet again in 2014 and head back to the playoffs. There's too much talent on the roster, and this guy named Belichick is still coaching the team.

29. New York Jets - 9 Wins

The Jets surprised many by breaking even last year at 8-8. Given the upgrades they've made on the offensive side of the ball, you have to believe they'll improve by at least one game in 2014.

28. Baltimore Ravens - 10 Wins

28. Baltimore Ravens - 10 Wins

Baltimore was unable to defend its crown in 2013. But with the bulk of the roster returning and Steve Smith coming on board, 2014 seems like it will be a bounce back season for the Ravens.

27. Cincinnati Bengals - 9 Wins

The Bengals are a talented team, but also a team that lost both of its talented coordinators. Plus, there's the whole issue of Andy Dalton, who may or may not pan out in the NFL. But overall it's hard to see the Bengals being bad in 2014.

26. Cleveland Browns - 6 Wins

The Browns have been the laughing stock of the NFL for years now. But after some shrewd free agency moves and a solid draft, things are looking up in Cleveland. The safe bet is that the team improves by at least two wins in 2014.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers - 6 Wins

You know that the Steelers are going to be a competitive team. There's also no reason to believe that they'll be a force in 2014. But with Big Ben under center, never count Pittsburgh out of the playoff picture.

24. Houston Texans - 5 Wins

There's no way the Texans are going to be as bad as they were last season. But it's also hard to see Houston completely rebounding under first year head coach Bill O'Brien. Five to seven wins is a realistic range for this group of Texans.

23. Indianapolis Colts - 11 Wins

The Colts are going to be favored to win the AFC South, and for good reason. Andrew Luck is only going to continue to get better and there's plenty of talent across the Indy roster. It's hard to see the Colts not winning 11 or 12 games in a weak division.

22. Jacksonville Jaguars - 6 Wins

22. Jacksonville Jaguars - 6 Wins

Gus Bradley, Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars

Gus Bradley seems to be the right man for the job in Jacksonville. He's got the Jaguars defense whipped into shape, and the front office folks added some key pieces to the offense. But as with most teams, the Jags win total will ultimately be determined by QB play.

21. Tennessee Titans - 4 Wins

Ken Whisenhunt will turn the Titans around at some point, but it's hard to see it happening right away in his first season as head coach. Unless Jake Locker can stay healthy and play at a high level throughout the season, the Titans aren't going to do much of anything.

20. Denver Broncos - 12 Wins

The cream of the crop in the AFC still resides in Denver. There's no way this team wins fewer than 12 games. The bar is still set at home field advantage, no doubt about it.

19. Kansas City Chiefs - 7 Wins

The Chiefs rebounded in a big way last season. But in the NFL that means a strength of schedule increase the following year. KC will have a hard time getting out of the 7-9 range in 2014.

18. Oakland Raiders - 6 Wins

The Raiders have been in the NFL cellar for quite some time now. But after a solid draft and numerous key free agent acquisitions, you have to buy Oakland improving in 2014. Six wins should be the bar, but don't be surprised if the Raiders flirt with .500.

17. San Diego Chargers - 10 Wins

The Chargers are a team on the rise. They eeked into the playoffs last season, but were able to win the Wild Card game and move on to give the Broncos all they could handle in the divisional round. San Diego will definitely be back in the playoff mix in 2015.

16. Dallas Cowboys - 8 Wins

The Cowboys are a middle of the road team. They haven't done anything this offseason to make you think they'll rise above the .500 mark in 2014, so the safe bet is that they'll end up at 8-8 once again.

15. New York Giants - 6 Wins

Is this the end of the Tom Coughlin era in New York? It could be if the Giants fail to make playoffs for the third straight season.

There's no doubt that the Eagles are the preseason favorite to win the NFC East. Nick Foles and Chip Kelly were good in their first season together, and it's likely that they'll only get better as time moves on.

13. Washington Redskins - 6 Wins

There's no way the Redskins are going to match last year's three win total. RG3 is back to full health, DeSean Jackson is now on the roster and Mike Shanahan is no longer in charge. Washington should easily double its win total from a season ago.

12. Chicago Bears - 9 Wins

After many years of the offense holding the team back, roles were reversed in 2013. However, there's little chance that the Bears defense will be as bad as it was a season ago. Add that likely fact to a potent offense led by Jay Cutler, Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall, and you have a win total increase for Chicago in 2014.

11. Detroit Lions - 5 Wins

Can Jim Caldwell turn the Lions around? Maybe. But some team has to finish last in the NFC North, and Detroit is the most likely candidate to do so.

As per usual, the Packers should be favored to win the NFC North. They made the playoffs last season after not having Aaron Rodgers for a good chunk of the year. He'll be back at full strength, and so will the Packers.

Minnesota made some serious coaching upgrades by adding Norv Turner and Mike Zimmer to its staff. Given that most of the roster is returning, with several key additions, there's no way the Vikings don't improve from last year's five win total.

8. Atlanta Falcons - 7 Wins

8. Atlanta Falcons - 7 Wins

Injuries derailed the Falcons 2013 season, which was a season that was supposed to be bright. Atlanta should bounce back in 2014, but its hard to see the team making a return to NFC title contention.

7. Carolina Panthers - 8 Wins

7. Carolina Panthers - 8 Wins

The Panthers could be a case of one step forward, two steps back this season. 2013 was the franchise's best year in a long time, but after so many offensive departures this offseason, it's hard to see Carolina being even close to as good in 2014.

6. New Orleans Saints - 9 Wins

6. New Orleans Saints - 9 Wins

The Saints shed some key veteran defensive players this offseason, but they kept the most important person on the defense -- Rob Ryan. The Saints will have a top-tier offense once again, and you know that Ryan will at least have the team's defense playing at a respectable level.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 5 Wins

Lovie Smith will get the Bucs back to the playoffs at some point, but it won't be in 2014. Still, there's no way Tampa is as pathetic as it was a season ago.

4. Arizona Cardinals - 9 Wins

The Cardinals are going to be good in 2014. The main question is whether they're good enough to escape the NFC West. The safe bet is that they won't.

3. St. Louis Rams - 8 Wins

3. St. Louis Rams - 8 Wins

The Rams' 2014 success will largely depend on the growth of Sam Bradford. If he ups his game, the Rams could flirt with the playoffs. Either way, they won't be a bad team because of the massive amount of defensive talent residing in St. Louis.

2. San Francisco 49ers - 10 Wins

San Francisco is going to be right in the thick of the NFC in 2014, just like it has been each of the past three seasons. It's hard to see Harbaugh's team not getting to double-digit wins.

Seattle will be favored to win the NFC West, NFC Championship and Super Bowl in 2014-15 -- and for good reason. The Seahawks are going to be great once again, but when you're the defending champs, everyone comes gunning for you. They'll drop a couple games, but will still be the NFC's top team.
