Brett Favre Reunion With Green Bay Packers Needs To Happen In 2014

Brett Favre is one of the players most closely associated with the Green Bay Packers. The only problem is that he hasn’t really been a part of the storied organization since being traded away in 2008. The Favre-Packers relationship ended poorly, with both sides shouldering some of the blame.

Of course Favre threw gasoline on the fire by signing with the Minnesota Vikings in 2009. Ever since, he’s been away from Lambeau and far from being a Packer.

But it appears that after six long years, a reunion is finally in the works. There have been talks of a ‘bury the hatchet’ type of appearance for quite some time now, and according to the iconic QB, the long-awaited reunion could take place this season.

“Again, time heals a lot of things. In fact, I had planned on going up to a game the latter part of the season last year, but my high school team played into December and it just was a conflict. But the relationship is much better — it’s going to happen, I’ll be back up there. Again my career in Green Bay, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It was awesome. The people were awesome, and I just think everything’s going to be fine and in my opinion it is now. It’s just a matter of getting back up there,” Favre said via SiriusXM Radio.

The time is now for this ‘make up’ to happen. It’s been many years and both sides would benefit from moving on. It’s not exactly an elephant in the room, but there’s just something not right about Favre and the Packers being at odds. His No. 4 jersey needs to be retired, and he needs to take his rightful place in the team’s Hall of Fame.

Once all that happens, you know that both sides will feel a sense of relief.

Watch Fitzgerald Send Cardinals To NFC Title Game

I pronounce this the greatest game I've ever witnessed. There aren't enough words to describe the ebbs and flows that occurred during the fourth quarter of this NFC Divisional Playoff. Both teams should be proud of the way they played, but the Cardinals will be the ones moving on after this Larry Fitzgerald touchdown.

You have got to be kidding me! The Green Bay Packers sent the game to overtime with this insane Hail Mary completion. What are Patrick Peterson and Justin Bethel doing so deep in the end zone. This game has been absolutely insane.

Watch Cardinals' Palmer Throw Ugly Interception

For someone who played like a MVP all season long, Carson Palmer has looked anything but tonight against the Green Bay Packers. If he doesn't redeem himself in the fourth quarter, the No. 2 seed Arizona Cardinals will be sitting at home watching the playoffs with the rest of us next week.

Packers' Lacy Needs Oxygen After This Run

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy doesn't look like he's missed any meals recently, if you catch my drift. Despite the extra weight he's carrying around these days, Lacy was able to bust out into the open field for this huge 61-yard run.
