The 2014 NFL Draft was a solid one for the San Francisco 49ers. In the draft, the 49ers were able to find some players that will have the opportunity to contribute immediately, as well as finding some players that will be quality contributors in the future. The jury is still out on this year's draft class, but I am sure there will be a few gems in this class. Here is a look at the 49ers' draftees, and their expected impact.

Round 1, No. 30 Overall, Jimmie Ward, DB

When Jimmie Ward was selected at the end of the first round of the NFL Draft, many people didn't recognize the name. Ward wasn't a household name entering the draft, but he will look to silence the doubters. Ward is out due to injury now, but he will be relied on heavily as a nickel back as well as other positions in the defensive backfield.

Round 2, No. 57 Overall: Carlos Hyde, RB

It was very surprising to see the San Francisco 49ers trade up to steal Carlos Hyde in the second round of the NFL Draft. Hyde will give the 49ers a running back that can spell Frank Gore. Hyde's ability to run between the tackles and catch the ball out of the backfield will suit well in the 49ers offense.

Round 3, No. 70 Overall: Marcus Martin, C

Marcus Martin was a value pick for the San Francisco 49ers. Martin will look to compete for the center position as he has been turning heads in OTAs. Martin can play guard as well as center, so he will be an immediate contributor as soon as he steps on the field.

Round 3, No. 77 Overall: Chris Borland, LB

Chris Borland is a very instinctive football player that will have an immediate impact with the 49ers as a rookie. With Navorro Bowman out due to injury, Borland will have the opportunity to compete to play early on.

Round 3, No. 100 Overall: Brandon Thomas, OT

Brandon Thomas was a value pick for the 49ers. Thomas will sit out all season and will be placed on the PUP list. Thomas will eventually add depth to the tackle position when he regains his health.

Round 4, No. 106 Overall: Bruce Ellington, WR

Bruce Ellington has the need for speed that the 49ers coveted. What Ellington lacks in size he makes up for with speed. Ellington will look to make an immediate impact on special teams before making his name as a wide receiver. He is raw, due to only playing football for three years, but the potential is there.

Round 4, No. 129 Overall: Dontae Johnson, CB

Dontate Johnson fits the mold of Richard Sherman coming in as rookies, but right now it is a bit of a stretch. Johnson has great size for a NFL corner, and he will be given every opportunity to contribute immediately. Johnson was selected as a value pick, but with the retirement of Eric Wright, it gives him more of a chance to contribute.

Round 5, No. 150 Overall: Aaron Lynch, LB

Aaron Lynch will look to add depth to the linebacking core and he will likely play special teams. Lynch has a lot of talent, and if he stays on the right path, he can be a sleeper for the 49ers.

Round 5, No. 170 Overall: Keith Reaser, CB

Predicting the Impact of Keith Reaser San Francisco 49ers

Round 5, No. 170 Overall: Keith Reaser, CB

Predicting the Impact of Keith Reaser San Francisco 49ers

Keith Reaser may be small in stature, but he is a player that is filled with heart. Reaser was a value pick for the 49ers, and he will have to be placed on the PUP list due to injury. When healthy, Reaser is a blazer that runs a 4.3 forty yard dash, and that is hard to come by.

Round 5, No. 180 Overall: Kenneth Acker, CB

Kenneth Acker is another rookie CB with great size and athleticsm. Acker will receive an opportunity to be a contributor to the secondary. While at SMU, Acker was a solid cornerback, and he will look to translate that to the next level.

Round 7, No. 243 Overall: Kaleb Ramsey, DL

Predicting the impact of San Francisco 49ers rookie Kaleb Ramsey

Round 7, No. 243 Overall: Kaleb Ramsey, DE

Predicting the impact of San Francisco 49ers rookie Kaleb Ramsey

Kaleb Ramsey looks to shake the injury bug as he enters his rookie season as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. Ramsey's durability issues haunted him in college, but when healthy, he is a solid player. Ramsey has the physical tools to make an impact, but he has to stay healthy to give himself a fighting chance to make the team or have an impact in some capacity.

Round 7, No. 245 Overall: Trey Millard. FB

Trey Millard is a bruising fullback that will also get a chance to play a little H-Back. The 49ers is one of few teams that still value the fullback position, so that gives Millard a fighting chance to make the team
