A little over one month from today the Minnesota Vikings will meet at Mankato State University for the first official day of team training camp. The arrival of training camp exposes a number of important questions. Every team has questions heading into training camp and every team must answer them in order to be fully prepared for the NFL regular season.

Here are five questions the Vikings must answer at training camp this season.

5. Who Will be the Starter at MLB?

Despite not having much talent at the position, the Vikings have a logjam at middle linebacker. Free agent acquisition Jasper Brinkley has been receiving the first-team snaps at middle linebacker during OTAs, but Michael Mauti is reportedly fully healthy and ready to contend for the position as well. Audie Cole may be a factor here as well if he does not make the transition to WILL linebacker.

4. Should WR Cordarrelle Patterson Still Return Kickoffs?

4. Should WR Cordarrelle Patterson Still Return Kickoffs?

Based off the humongous impact he had last season, it is assumed that Patterson will take on a bigger role in the Vikings' offense this season. While Patterson is an elite return man, allowing him to continue returning kickoffs would leave him more susceptible to injury. Assuming the Vikings elect to not use Patterson as a kick returner, the team must find a suitable replacement.

3. What is the Role of RB Jerick McKinnon?

3. What is the Role of RB Jerick McKinnon?

McKinnon was not truly a running back at Georgia Southern, as he technically was the quarterback of a triple-option offensive attack. The Vikings must determine if McKinnon can be effective as a between-the-tackles rusher, as a pass-catcher out of the backfield or possibly as a return man. McKinnon's skills and athleticism are not the issue. Determining how and where he would have the greatest impact is what makes this question so difficult.

2. How Should LB Anthony Barr be Used?

There is no doubting Barr’s talent, athleticism and ideal physical frame. However, Barr is a very raw football player who has only two years of experience playing linebacker. The Vikings must determine if he is capable of being a full-time starter as a rookie or if he should primarily be used as a pass-rusher until he better understands how to play linebacker in the NFL.

1. Will Matt Cassel or Teddy Bridgewater be at QB?

Undoubtedly the most enticing and important question the Vikings must answer during training camp concerns who the Week 1 starting quarterback will be. Bridgewater may be the quarterback of the future, but it could prove beneficial for him to take a backseat to Cassel during his rookie season. However, Bridgewater is reportedly the most pro-ready quarterback of this draft class and may already be capable of outperforming Cassel on the field.

Watch Walsh Miss Field Goal To End Vikings' Season

The Seattle Seahawks were the beneficiaries of a missed field goal by Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh that will send them to Charlotte next week to face the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Divisional Round. One has to feel for Walsh who was the Vikings' only offense all afternoon long.

Russell Wilson Is A Freaking Magician

There aren't too many quarterbacks who could make this play. Russell Wilson had to run 10-15 yards to recover the ball, then escape pressure and find a wide-open Tyler Lockett for the biggest play of the game. If the Seahawks win, this will be the turning point.
