The New Orleans Saints are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, and OTAs and minicamp are a great time to show coaches and teammates that you can help improve the organization. However, it is also a time to see who just doesn't have what it takes to make the cut. With that in mind, let's take a look at the Saints' five biggest duds from minicamp.

The undrafted Ragin' Cajun from the University of Louisiana Lafayette was a promising prospect for some added depth on the defensive line. His a big, strong, solid kid, but his struggles to win the battle at the line of scrimmage made him a project. I saw a place for him on the practice squad, but the Saints decided to give him the boot after rookie camp to help make room for some other UDFAs.

4. WR Chris Givens

Chris Givens (not the St. Louis Rams' Chris Givens) was in a tough situation. The New Orleans Saints are loaded at the wide receiver position and after drafting Brandin Cooks and signing UDFA Brandon Coleman, Givens looked to be the odd man out. He participated in training camp in each of the last two years with New Orleans, but injuries have kept him on the sidelines during both seasons. He was recently waived to make room for OT Jason Weaver.

Spencer Hadley was an undrafted rookie out of BYU. He spent rookie minicamp and the first week of OTAs with the Saints before being relieved of his duties. Linebacker is going to be one of the biggest positional battles throughout training camp for New Orleans. It looks like Hadley doesn't have what it takes to continue his time with the Black and Gold.

2. G Mike Golic Jr.

Mike Golic went undrafted in 2013 and was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his stay there was limited. The Saints signed him last month, and the former Notre Dame guard was taking snaps with Tim Lelito and Matt Armstrong at center. However, coaches were not high on his performance at camp, so he was waived to make room for veteran center Jonathan Goodwin.

Saints running backs coach Dan Roushar was an assistant at Michigan State while Micajah Reynolds was there, and always saw him making it as an offensive guard. Roushar was big on getting the former Spartan to New Orleans after he went untouched in the 2014 NFL Draft, however, after only a couple of practices at rookie minicamp, the Saints waived Reynolds.
