Every team that has Super Bowl aspirations needs great team chemistry and the Chargers have it. Mike McCoy, Tom Telesco and the rest of San Diego's coaches have brought an energy into the Chargers' clubhouse that they've been lacking for years. The players seem inseparable with numerous group outings planned outside of the practice field.

New offensive coordinator Frank Reich is incorporating what he learned playing behind Jim Kelly and coaching Peyton Manning with the Chargers' offense this season. Philip Rivers will run a more uptempo offense that will keep opposing defense on their heels and should increase the Chargers' red-zone scoring.

The Chargers dealt with numerous injures to key players last year and still prevailed to a playoff run. Malcom Floyd, Melvin Ingram, Steve Williams and Dwight Freeney all missed an extended amount of the 2013 season, but are on track for full recoveries and are participating fully in practice.

The Chargers went into the offseason with a plan to bring more speed to the roster and they did just that. Three of San Diego's draft picks (Jason Verrett, Jeremiah Attaochu and Tevin Reese) can fly. The Chargers also signed several undrafted rookies who specialize in the return game with their speed and quickness.

The Chargers surprised many with the run they had at the end of last season and into the playoffs. While the players were happy with what they accomplished last year, they weren't satisfied with how the season ended. They want to keep building on the success they had in 2013.
