The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Dee Ford in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft hoping he could be the team's next great pass rusher. Kansas City has snagged some of the NFL's sack men through the draft prior to that. Ford could end up on this list one day, but here are the five best Chiefs' pass rushers who came before him.

An unfortunate relationship with former GM Carl Peterson led to Allen leaving town after just four seasons. Had he stuck around, he would probably be higher on this list, but the 43 sacks he compiled with the Chiefs still earns him the No. 5 spot.

Still has a decent argument to be higher on this list. The records only count 42.5 sacks with the Chiefs, but sacks weren't counted before 1982, and Still played four seasons with the team prior to that. Moreover, the NFL wasn't as pass-happy back then limiting his opportunities to get to the quarterback.

Hali has compiled 73.5 sacks and counting in his career, and all of them have been with the Chiefs. The drafting of Dee Ford could be the first step toward his departure from Kansas City. Hali's contract will be up after the 2014 season, and the fans would hate to see him go.

Smith racked up 85.5 sacks with the Chiefs from 1988-96. He left the team for the hated Denver Broncos, but Kansas City fans were okay because their favorite pass rusher was still with the team.

Was there ever any doubt? Thomas compiled 126.5 sacks with the Chiefs from 1989-99. His work still inspires Arrowhead crowds. Nothing gets Kansas City fans going like old footage of Thomas taking down John Elway.
