The Chicago Bears have refurbished their defensive line via free agency and have brought in some key pieces during the NFL Draft. Now the question that remains is who will bring the most to their new team in 2014? These five guys have plenty to offer in the coming season.

The Bears acquired Mundy via free agency in an effort to bolster their depth at safety. The team had major struggles at the position in 2013, and with veteran Chris Conte recovering from shoulder surgery for most of the offseason, Mundy will be in position to start for the Bears Week 1. With a formidable defensive line in front of him, Mundy should be able to focus on his coverage and have a great impact early on for the Bears.

The Bears' third-round draft pick has been putting in work since he joined the team and is looking ready to jump into the defensive line rotation. Sutton will be an integral part of the Bears' defense if he stays in shape and puts in the effort to make his game better. With an aging Jeremiah Ratliff ahead of him on the depth chart, Sutton will get plenty of playing time and will make a great impact in 2014.

Coming off of a season in which he produced six sacks and two forced fumbles for the Oakland Raiders, Houston could be on the verge of a breakout campaign for the Bears. He will be lining up opposite of Jared Allen in 2014 which will create a huge dilemma for offensive coaches all year. If Houston can keep his motor running high, he should be able to make a run at double-digit sacks for the Bears in 2014.

For the first time in living memory the Bears have continuity along their offensive line, and the addition of de la Puente was a move that helps solidify their depth. That being said, if the elder center Roberto Garza is slowed by injuries look for de la Puente to step in and help keep that line solid across the board. Both Garza and de la Puente have the versatility to slide to a guard spot if they are asked to as well.

The biggest addition to the Chicago Bears is set to prove that his age is only a number in 2014. Playing alongside Lamarr Houston should help open up some chances for Allen as he attempts to turn around a Bears pass rush that was nonexistent in 2013. The Bears finished last in the NFL in sacks last season, so anything Allen can bring to the table is better than where they were, though anything less than 10 sacks would be disappointing.
