The Jacksonville Jaguars experienced a great deal of roster turnover during the offseason. Through the draft and free agency, the Jaguars added quality and depth of their roster and put themselves in a position to improve upon their record from a year ago. Here are five offseason additions with the most to offer in 2014.

Red Bryant signed with Jacksonville as a free agent during the offseason. In Bryant, the Jaguars added a stout run defender who will immediately improve the team's front-seven. Head coach Gus Bradley has familiarity with Bryant from his days as Seattle's defensive coordinator. He will know how to best use the veteran's skills to maximize the signing.

The Jaguars selected Marqise Lee in the second-round of the 2014 NFL Draft. With Justin Blackmon suspended indefinitely, the rookie receiver will have a chance to compete for a starting spot in training camp. If Lee can learn the offense quickly, he has an opportunity to emerge as the Jaguars' top wideout in 2014.

3. Zane Beadles, OG

The Jaguars added veteran guard Zane Beadles to help solidify the interior of their offensive line. Beadles made the Pro Bowl in 2012, but had a down year last season. Jacksonville hopes that he will bounce back and improve an offensive line that allowed 50 total sacks, second most in the NFL.

2. Toby Gerhart, RB

Longtime running back Maurice Jones-Drew left Jacksonville to sign with Oakland during the offseason. To fill his void, the Jaguars signed Toby Gerhart. Gerhart will be Jacksonville's feature back in 2014, his first opportunity in such a role. Despite rushing for just 283 yards and two touchdowns last season, the Jaguars are confident Gerhart can emerge as their top rusher.

1. Blake Bortles, QB

The Jaguars spent the third-overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft on UCF quarterback Blake Bortles. The Jaguars hope that Bortles will become the team's QB of the future. However, Bortles will have an opportunity to make an immediate contribution. He will be given the opportunity to compete with veteran Chad Henne for a starting role in training camp and enter the season as the starter.
