After a busy offseason in which they remade the entire team, the Raiders will enter training camp with several heated battles for position ready to go. All of the roster turnover -- and uncertainty about position that's created for some -- have led to the development of some very intriguing storylines as the Raiders get set for camp.

Here are just a few of the more interesting storylines you'll want to follow.

With a number of new faces, as well as some younger talent like Menelik Watson and Gabe Jackson on the roster, it will be interesting to see how the line shapes up during training camp. It was a disaster and a complete liability in 2013, but with a very active offseason -- the Rodger Saffold debacle aside -- the line looks to be in a position to be very deep, a source of strength, and a unit that can impose its will on a defense this season.

He showed flashes of how good he can be, but an injury ended his rookie campaign early. But this offseason, Murray has shown that he's healthy and ready to roll. He's drawn rave reviews from the coaches for his efforts in OTAs and minicamp, and they are envisioning a much expanded role for Murray in Oakland's backfield. Though McFadden and Jones-Drew will be the workhorses, Murray could carve out a nice niche for himself with a strong camp.

Shortly after proclaiming himself healthy and ready to get to work, cornerback DJ Hayden suffered an injury that kept him out of the team's minicamp, and will keep him out until training camp in July. This after injuries marred his rookie season. Given his injury history, whether or not the Raiders slide him down the depth chart and give the reps to new additions like Keith McGill or possibly TJ Carrie should be a real concern for Hayden.

Ultimately, who is tabbed the team's “starter” doesn't matter, but this figures to be a heated battle nonetheless. In an effort to keep them both fresher and expose them to less risk of injury, McFadden and Jones-Drew figure to split the lion's share of the carries out of Oakland's backfield. With both running backs healthy and fresh, they can add different dimensions and explosiveness while giving the Raiders a potentially lethal backfield.

The coaches love his speed and skill set but have grown tired of Moore's inconsistency and penchant for dropping balls. It was reflected in his reduced playing time last season, and so far this offseason, it doesn't look to be much better. With Streater, Jones, Criner, Holmes, and possibly Little looking like the core WR unit during OTAs and minicamp, Moore could be the odd man out, and could very well be traded or cut before the season.

Common sense would seem to dictate that you start the veteran and give the rookie a season to mature. But with so much pressure to win, teams don't always make the smart decisions. With Carr developing faster than most anticipated, there has been a lot of talk about him supplanting Schaub as the starter as early as Week 1. The camp QB “battle” -- if there really is one -- is one of the most interesting storylines the Raiders have had in years.
