Training camp is only a couple weeks away and most teams are done making additions to their rosters. With that being said, it is pretty clear that the Colts will win the AFC South in 2014 for the second straight year.

The Houston Texans had the first overall pick in the draft and added what looks to be a superstar in Jadeveon Clowney but they have questions at wide receiver position and Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t a franchise quarterback. The Titans don’t have any game-breaking superstars on offense or defense. And Jacksonville is a team on the rise, but it’s hard to see Chad Henne or Blake Bortles beating Andrew Luck.

The Colts added some key players in the offseason to improve their defense. The additions of D’Qwell Jackson and Arthur Jones should mean a much more improved run defense. With Bjoern Werner entering his second year he should be much improved and add something to their pass rush.

This is the first time in the Andrew Luck era that the entire offense won't have to learn a new playbook going into training camp. This means the entire offense should be more comfortable executing the playbook, making them even more dangerous.

Even with the yearlong suspension of LaVon Brazill, the Colts are extremely deep at wide receiver. Reggie Wayne is returning from injury and T.Y. Hilton emerged as a playmaker last year too. With the addition of Hakeem Nicks, the Colts are very strong at the wide receiver position. You need a good passing game to win in the NFL, and the Colts may have the best group of wide receivers 1-6 in the NFL, let alone the AFC South.

Simply put, the Indianapolis Colts have the best quarterback in the AFC South and in the NFL you need a quarterback to win. Luck is an elite quarterback in the NFL and can elevate his teammates as well as cover up shortcomings elsewhere.
