5 Reasons Why the Redskins Will Win the NFC East in 2014

The Washington Redskins enter the 2014-15 NFL season with a whole world of hope, and we will have to see if they can deliver a winning season for their fans. You can bet that Robert Griffin III will be under the microscope quite a bit here with all eyes on his knee. There are five reasons why I believe they can win the NFC East next season, but a single loss could shift the momentum in the wrong direction.

DeSean Jackson's addition to the team will help Griffin immensely, and it should open up the running game for Alfred Morris. The talented wide receiver had his issues with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chip Kelly, but the Redskins needed to take a chance here. Great pickup by Daniel Snyder.

4. Their Head Coach Will Improve Team Chemistry

Jay Gruden seems to be liked by his players a lot more than his predecessor and most especially by Griffin. Their chemistry is the key to the Redskins' success next season, and you can be certain that I will be keeping a close eye on their body language in the first few weeks.

3. Tony Romo Will Implode

The Redskins probably have more to fear from the New York Giants than the Dallas Cowboys. You can expect another strange season from Tony Romo, and it would not surprise anyone to see him choke away a few close games in November and December. Broken ribs are a pretty decent excuse for losing, but I still think the Cowboys should have rolled the dice on Johnny Manziel.

2. It Will Only Take 9 Wins

This is just my gut feeling, but I think it might be right. It should only take nine wins to take the division and I would be shocked if it takes more than that. All four teams will beat each other up, and then the other divisions should handle the NFC East quite easily. Winning it could come down to one play.

Robert Griffin III is finally going to be without his brace, and that should make all of the difference in the world for his mobility. Expect his production to be similar to what it was during his rookie season, but it will also be interesting to see how many running plays Gruden decides to run. Let's hope RGIII does not improvise too much.
