Winning the Super Bowl has not closed Richard Sherman‘s mouth. Not by a long shot.
The Seattle Seahawks‘ cornerback will appear on the show American Muscle Wednesday night, and it appears some comments from the show have already hit the internet. Of course, the comments from Sherman are in regards to his pal, Michael Crabtree.
“It’s much more of just I don’t like the dude. You know what I’m saying. And I think he’s sorry. So it’s really what it comes down to. It’s just about him, it’s just about Crabtree…It’s not going to be something that goes away. I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to understand.”
While these comments from the Seahawks’ DB aren’t surprising in the least, they also don’t make him look great. Some people like the fact that Sherman runs his mouth 24/7, but I’m not one of them. Eventually, and it might be awhile, his trash talking ways are going to come back and bite him.
I believe he’s best served to let his spectacular play do the talking for him, but clearly he’s not wired that way. He may think Crabtree is a sorry receiver, but the rest of us can see that he’s no scrub. Crabtree could easily end up getting the last laugh this season, or somewhere else down the road.
Either way, these comments add fuel to the fire that is the best rivalry in the NFL – Seahawks vs. 49ers.
