WR Dez Bryant seems to find himself as one of those guys you expect to see in the Pro Bowl year in and year out. It’s for good reason, though, as Bryant is simply an incredible receiver and makes the type of catches that leave people in complete awe. This year, though, it’s going to be unanimous that Bryant’s quarterback, Tony Romo, makes it to the Pro Bowl as well. These two are poised to do huge things for the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, and I predict numbers that get them both there.
For Bryant, it’s not much of a question. Barring an injury, I believe that he’ll post even better numbers than what we’ve seen in the past, and a large part of that is due to the addition of Scott Linehan as offensive coordinator. Linehan has been known to air it out a ton, which obviously helps both of these players, but he also loves to find ways to get the ball to his big time playmaker, just like he did with Calvin Johnson in Detroit. Bryant is going to be looking at a career year this coming season.
For Romo, having Linehan will obviously be big, but I believe his ability to avoid turning the ball over is going to be key. Romo will be able to put up a ton of touchdowns and throw it often just like we saw Matthew Stafford do, but I Romo protects the ball better. He is going to be a sleeper in the MVP race in 2014, and while many will immediately disagree with that, he’s poised for a massive year.
Career years from two of the most important players on the Cowboys’ offense isn’t a far-fetched statement, so if you like offense, be ready to watch Dallas this year.
