With the start of training camp only a few days away, here is a look at the five biggest whispers surrounding the Chicago Bears right now.

After going undrafted out of Florida State, Jones is playing with a large chip on his shoulder since joining the Bears. After dropping in the draft as a result of a bad drug test sample at the NFL Combine, Jones has shown maturity and a will to better himself as a player, and the Bears' coaches are taking notice. With an aging linebacking group, Jones is starting to push for a chance to play in 2014.

The former Heisman Trophy finalist has been making all the right moves since the Bears brought him in and moved him to running back. Lynch will have to beat out Michael Ford for the right to be the No. 3 RB on the roster this season, though if Lynch can prove he can block at the NFL level he might just have a chance. The knock on Ford was an inability to pick up blitzes, so if Lynch can pick this up he might just be able to challenge Ford.

3. Jon Bostic Will Step Up in 2014

After a somewhat disappointing campaign in 2013, where he was thrust into the starting lineup due to injuries, Bostic looks to improve his game in 2014. With D.J. Williams in his 11th NFL season, Bostic is expected to contribute plenty in 2014, and so far coaches have been raving about his growth as a player. Bostic seemed to get caught up in the wash of players last season. If he can work on staying free, Bostic should have a big year.

With Josh McCown leaving via free agency the Bears need to find a quality backup to be ready in the event that Jay Cutler goes down again. The backup QB is especially important for the Bears as Cutler has not played an entire 16-game season since 2009. Jordan Palmer has been dubbed the No. 2 early on, though the team has brought in Jimmy Clausen to challenge Palmer during training camp.

After signing a massive contract extension during the offseason, Cutler now has to prove that he deserved it. The biggest issue for him to overcome is staying healthy, if he can keep himself on the field there should be no reason why the Bears can't make a deep playoff run. With a top offensive line, two Pro Bowl receivers and a Pro Bowl RB, Cutler will have no excuses for not delivering a big year in 2014.
