As the 2014 NFL Season draws near, the Dallas Cowboys have a lot to figure out. However, one thing that’s not up for debate is that their offense will have to be the strength of the team.

So, as they try to get past being 8-8 for a fourth consecutive time, here are five offensive players that must step their game up in 2014.

Doug Free started the season off on a good note in 2013, but as the season progressed, his play regressed. At this stage in his career, Free isn’t going to get better, but the Cowboys cannot afford to have him regress.

DeMarco Murray is vastly underused, in my opinion. I know that there are injury concerns with Murray, but that shouldn’t deter the Cowboys from handing him the football. I think that Murray might have to take matters into his own hands and start demanding the ball more.

Terrance Williams burst onto the scene his rookie year, and wowed with his straight-line speed. In his second season however, the Cowboys need him to be a better-rounded receiver, meaning that he needs to do more than just go for the home run ball.

Dez Bryant has the tools to be one of the best to ever play the game, but he tends to disappear at times. Say what you will, but I think that he still has a lot of growing to do. He has to elevate his game in 2014 to a level that no one has seen before.

r someone who has been around the league as long as Tony Romo, he still makes some very dumb mistakes. In 2014, I need Romo to handle in-game situations better. His in-game awareness has to be the best he’s ever had.
