The Kansas City Chiefs have a tough road ahead of them for the 2014 season. They will have 11 games against teams that had a .500 record or better in 2013, including five contests against teams that made the conference championships. It should make for some very entertaining football. Here are five games on the Chiefs' schedule that should not be missed by any NFL fans.
The Chiefs and San Diego Chargers had two incredibly exciting games last season, including a Week 17 contest that was 'win and you're in' for San Diego that went to overtime. There's a decent chance the 2014 version could have playoff implications as well. Regardless, the Chiefs and Chargers typically put on a great show.
The returning Super Bowl Champs come to Kansas City to take on their former division rivals. It's an afternoon game, but a matchup like this is why flex scheduling exists.
Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium. Tom Brady and company will be dealing with a ravenous crowd.
This is another rivalry game that should have big playoff implications, and it will be on Sunday Night Football. The AFC West will go through the Broncos, and if the Chiefs want any prayer at winning the division, they must win this game.
Alex Smith returns to San Francisco to face the team that benched him and cast him off. There will definitely be some extra incentive for the former 49er to take down his old team in their house.
