The Jacksonville Jaguars will report to training camp on Thursday and are set to practice for the first time of the 2014 season on Friday. Here are five last-minute rumors surrounding the franchise before the fun begins.

After selecting Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson during the second round of May's draft, the Jaguars are equipped with plenty of talent and youth at receiver. According to this rumor, though, that won't stop undrafted rookie Allen Hurns from cracking the club's 53-man roster. Hurns impressed during spring practices and drew rave reviews from Jacksonville's coaching staff.

The Jaguars seem to have hopes for the long-term outlook of Central Florida product Storm Johnson. But as a seventh-round pick, Johnson likely won't see many carries behind Toby Gerhard, Jordan Todman and chess piece Denard Robinson. Johnson has bell-cow back potential, but will likely be relegated to developing behind the scenes in 2014 baring an injury or two.

3. Ryan Davis Will Have Expanded Role

After surprisingly sticking on the Jaguars' roster two years ago as an undrafted rookie out of Bethune-Cookman, defensive end Ryan Davis appears primed to earn an expanded role in 2014. Look for Davis to be Jacksonville's No. 3 pass-rushing end this fall, splitting time on the edge and inside.

Former No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel's rookie season was spoiled by a broken ankle. That injury could become a blessing in disguise if this rumor holds ture, however. OC Jedd Fisch told the Florida Times-Union that Joeckel has looked more athletic -- perhaps a result of extensively rehabbing his lower body. With rookie quarterback Blake Bortles waiting in the wings, the Jaguars are hoping Joeckel cements himself as a franchise left tackle.

With Chad Henne projected as the starting quarterback and with a young, perhaps raw, group of receivers for him to throw to, the Jaguars are expected to employ a run-first attack this season. Subsequently, starting running back Toby Gerhart could just have the largest workload in the league. At 231 pounds, Gerhart certainly has the size to become a bruising workhorse, but has yet to be a full-time starter in the NFL.
