Larry English collected 11 total sacks over his five-year tenure with the San Diego Chargers. 11 total sacks over five seasons did not justify the team's first-round selection of the former Northern Illinois pass rusher, inevitably leading to his recent release.

English still has some untapped potential, but will need a great coach to get the most out of him. Here are five potential landing spots for the former first-round pick:

Pittsburgh is a dark horse for English's services and he could realistically end up signing with the team. Pittsburgh has been known as a slow, old and worn down defense for quite some time now, but the team is rebuilding its defensive core quickly with fast and explosive players such as Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones. English would fit in well as a potential pass rushing specialist and would be a value signing.

There is one thing Rex Ryan loves more than his wife's feet and that is an athletic pass rusher. Ryan has been searching for someone to pair with former first-round pick Quinton Coples for a few seasons now and could pair English with Coples. Ryan knows how to get the most out of his linebackers and seems to be a perfect fit for English as a mentor and a motivator to keep his head on straight.

Dallas seems willing to sign just about anyone who can rush the passer after allowing Jason Hatcher and DeMarcus Ware to sign elsewhere this offseason. Dallas has done a great job of bringing in defensive linemen who can get after the quarterback, but English just seems like a logical fit at this point. His speed and athleticism make him an intriguing prospect to pair with DT Henry Melton.

Atlanta has been prepping itself for a shift from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 defense in 2014. After bringing in NT Paul Soliai and DE Tyson Jackson, the team is built for success along the front three, but they need some pass rush help. English is an experienced 3-4 outside linebacker and could revive his career working with DC Mike Nolan in Atlanta as the team's top pass rusher.

The most logical fit for me would be the Indianapolis Colts and head coach Chuck Pagano. Pagano is a Baltimore disciple and has worked with some of the league's most talented pass rushers. English has shades of Indianapolis pass rusher Robert Mathis in his game and could learn a ton from Mathis. English would certainly present a huge upgrade over current starting OLB Erik Walden and could pair well with Mathis in Indianapolis.
