NFL Should Ban Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon For Life
It seems as of late that Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon just can’t stay out of trouble.
Already suspended indefinitely by the NFL and inching closer to being released by the Jaguars, Blackmon was arrested in Oklahoma for marijuana possession on Wednesday night. At this point, everyone has to be wondering if he has learned anything from his past troubles that have led to him being suspended. Well, the answer is clear as crystal, and he hasn’t learned a thing.
It is clear to me that Blackmon does not care anymore. His drug use has gotten completely out of hand, and I believe the only way he can learn, if he ever will, is for the league to ban him from football. It could be what he needs in order for him to get his life back together. At the very least they can ban him with the option to be reinstated on good behavior, but something needs to be done.
It has become clear to me that Blackmon has proven to be a Jaguars draft bust.
He showed so much potential for the Jaguars, especially in his rookie campaign. Even if he does not get the ban, the Jaguars would be smart to get rid of Blackmon as it appears that he is a lost cause and exemplifies dead weight on the team. The last thing the Jaguars, a team that is tirelessly trying to rebuild and become competitive again, need is for a player with so much talent to not care and keep throwing his career away while dragging the team further down. Had he cared, he could bring the franchise that much closer to becoming competitive again.
Blackmon does not have the passion for football any longer. The league should grant him his wish and just keep him away from the game for life.
