After a great 2014 NFL Draft and an excellent offseason, the New Orleans Saints are ready to rock and roll. From Sean Payton to Drew Brees to Rob Ryan, and his stout defense, the Black and Gold are looking forward to getting back on the football field. The fans are also ready to watch their favorite team dominate, so let's take a look at ten reasons why the Who Dat Nation should be excited for the new season.

Both WR Joe Morgan and OLB Victor Butler are looking to bounce back this season after missing all of 2013 with knee injuries. The speedy Morgan established himself as a deep threat in 2012, so his return will add another spark to that already high-powered offense. Butler came over from Dallas with Rob Ryan to inflict some added pressure on opposing quarterbacks. His ability as a pass rusher could make the defense even more dangerous.

He's paid, he's happy and he's back with the team. After the long dispute that seemed like it carried on for a lifetime, Saints fans should be excited about having their All-Pro tight end locked up for the next four years. It got a bit ugly, but Jimmy has returned and is ready to play his role as a dominant target for Drew Brees.

Not only does Rob Ryan know how to turn the worst defense into almost the first defense, but the dude knows how to maintain a healthy head of hair. Ryan and his silver locks of death are looking for another standout out season on the defensive side of the ball.

SS Kenny Vaccaro and WR Kenny Stills both had excellent rookie seasons. Vaccaro was a force on the defensive side of the ball while Stills led the NFL with a 20 yards per catch average. These young talents are looking to stay in the Big Easy for the long-haul. Saints fans should be excited about these sophomore studs, especially Vaccaro -- he's got the tools and mindset to be one of the great defensive backs in the NFL.

The entire city is ready to see what rookie WR Brandin Cooks can do. He may be the most versatile athlete New Orleans has seen since Reggie Bush. Not only was he the fastest receiver in the 2014 draft class, but he was one of the most athletic all-around athletes. CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste also has tremendous upside in the NFL, but as a shutdown corner. It will be interesting to see how the careers of Ronald Powell and Khairi Fortt pan out too.

Want to get the chills? Then, log on to YouTube and watch one of Drew Brees' pregame chants. The way he gets the team fired up before every contest is certainly something special to witness and the city of New Orleans gets high off of it.

From Cam Jordan to Junior Galette, to Keenan Lewis and Kenny Vaccaro, the New Orleans Saints' defense is ready to once again dominate. Now, with the addition of Jarius Byrd, who leads all free safeties with 22 interceptions since entering the NFL in 2009, Rob Ryan's unit will be back at it. Don't forget the addition of Champ Bailey. He may have lost a step or two, but the 12-time Pro Bowl cornerback's presence is key. New Dome Patrol?

At 35-years-old, Drew Brees is still playing like he's in his prime. In fact, during a training camp interview on Friday, he said that he feels like he's 25-years-old. When the 2009 Super Bowl MVP was asked how much longer he can play, he said ten years. That may be a little far fetched, but New Orleans Saints fans should be ecstatic about the amount of confidence Brees still has in himself after 13 years in the league.

New Orleans is stacked at just about every position. With the addition of key players and the emergence of others, the Black and Gold are looking at a very talented squad. I said it before ESPN's Adam Schefter, but the Saints may be looking at the best roster the organization has ever seen.

From the food to the music, to the fans themselves, everything and everybody just seem that much better when football season hits the city of New Orleans. The electricity that surges through the atmosphere from the start of pregame festivities till your tucked away in bed after a win in the Superdome is unreal. Even if the Saints aren't your home team, I advise you to make a trip down to the Big Easy for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
