As you might have heard by now, Day 3 of training camp was highlighted a few heated exchanges between Morris Claiborne and Terrance Williams.

The pair went back-and-forth after every one-on-one rep. Claiborne even went on to take a few shots at Williams stating that he’d rather face Dez Bryant.

However, that’s not all that took place on Saturday, here are 5 observations from Day 3 of Dallas Cowboys training camp.

Davon Coleman

One of the players that I am truly pulling for this season is DT Davon Coleman. On Saturday, Coleman victimized some of the Cowboys’ backup interior offensive linemen with his speed and quickness; both traits that Rod Marinelli looks for in his defensive linemen.

Tyrone Crawford

Tyrone Crawford looked good on Saturday, although defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli called him out on his conditioning. There was a play where Crawford put OT Jermey Parnell flat on his rear end with an impressive bull-rush.

Rolando McClain

Rolando McClain was back with the Cowboys on Saturday and participated in every workout. McClain will be eased back into things and as of Saturday his reps are coming with the second team defense.

Bruce Carter

In 2013, Bruce Carter was downright horrendous. However, during the team’s first padded practice on Saturday, he didn’t look bad. It appears that Carter is comfortable with this system, and is doing less thinking and more reacting; definitely a good sign.

Tyron Smith

Overall, the Cowboys offensive line did a good job on Saturday, but Tyron Smith is without a doubt the best player in that unit. He stonewalled every defender put in front of him.
