Training camp has barely gotten underway, and Jimmy Graham has already been giving New Orleans Saints fans something to cheer about. In practice so far, he’s been showcasing his skills and, at the end, giving fans a taste of his signature (and now NFL banned) goalpost dunk.

Many were concerned that there would be a lot of lingering animosity between Graham and the Saints organization after the contract dispute, but both sides seem content with the outcome. The Saints are happy they got their man long term, and Graham is just excited to be playing football. Needless to say, both sides would be even more ecstatic if his training camp success carried over into the regular season.

Graham has proved his talents time and time again, so there’s no way that the show he’s putting on at training camp is a fluke. But, as many have said, this could be the year that every major single-season tight end record could fall to Graham, and this performance could be an indication of just that. Only time will tell.

Regardless, it’s a good sign that Graham is performing well and that he seems to be enjoying himself now that all the contract mess is over. The last thing both parties need in the future is another big conflict, but judging by their reactions, a second scrape is doubtful. Graham and the Saints know that the best thing right now is just to focus on winning next year, and Graham definitely has his sights set on a Super Bowl victory.
