The Detroit Lions have announced that the team will cease negotiations with Ndamukong Suh until after this season. This will likely result in him testing the waters of free agency in 2015, and could mean that we will see Sue in a different jersey next season. Here are the five most likely landing spots for Sue.

The Giants have made a living off of a strong, and quick defensive line dominating the line of scrimmage. That is how they won their two most recent Super Bowl’s, and that is likely how they will be able to get back there. Eli Manning has proven he isn’t equipped to carry a team on his shoulders by himself. The Giants have a completely average front seven right now, and adding Suh would instantly kickstart their pass rush.

Like the Giants, the Seahawks have become the dominant team they are by stocking up talent on the defensive side of the ball. They love mean, brash athletes, and Suh would fit that bill perfectly. It would also mark a return home to the Pacific northwest for him. The Seahawks have good depth on their defensive line, but outside of Michael Bennett, they don’t have dominant talent. Suh would make the ‘Hawks scary good.

3. Denver Broncos

You can never count out John Elway in free agency, and depending on what happens this season, the Broncos may be looking to add some more athleticism to their defensive line. Much like the Seahawks, the Broncos have very good depth, but not overwhelming talent in the middle of their line. Suh combined with DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller would be one of the most feared pass rushes in recent memory.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers of old have experienced a slow, painful demise. Their defense no longer instills fear into their opponent’s hearts like they once did. Suh could kickstart the movement to bring the Steelers back to their roots and anchor a young, inexperienced defensive line. Plus, I’m pretty sure his fierce and aggressive playing style would be embraced by the Steel City and their blue-collar fans.

The Cowboys will most likely be dying to make a splash in free agency. There is a good chance they will have a new coach looking to instill a new culture and system, and Suh could be just the piece they need. Not to mention I’m pretty sure Suh thrives on being the man you love to hate, and where else would he be hated more than Dallas?
