When NFL games have been played in London as part of the NFL International Series, fans have come out in huge numbers. An unprecedented move like this would open up a huge market for the league. Jerseys, hats and other memorabilia sales would skyrocket, and fans (both in London and in America) would jump at the opportunity to be a part of the historic first season abroad. Even after the newness wore off, the NFL would have created a whole new fanbase.

Players would jump at the chance to be a part of history, and in years to come, it would still be one of the nicest NFL cities.

Putting a franchise in London would serve as that critical first step. It would pave the way for even more expansion, such as to Mexico City or Toronto.
