The best teams in the NFL often have players on their depth charts that constantly push the starters for playing time. These battles always begin in training camp, and for the Philadelphia Eagles, there is a lot of pressure on a ton of guys throughout their roster. With Philadelphia’s depth chart not set in stone, these five players need to be doing everything they can throughout camp, to make sure they see the field, and produce as well.
Maclin's starting spot is not in jeopardy, but from a fan's perspectives, Maclin may be under the most pressure on the team. The big question in Philadelphia is can the Eagles be as productive without DeSean Jackson? If Maclin proves to be healthy, as well as continue to work hard, he will have no problem being part of that equation to replace Jackson.
Having a good offensive line is arguably the biggest key to having a successful offense. With Lane Johnson suspended for four games, Barbre must put in overtime, for Philadelphia to maintain one of the best lines in the NFL.
Ertz has the build and skillset to become an elite TE. While star tight ends typically rise during their second season, Ertz still has the obstacle of becoming the number one tight end on the team. He should do that with ease if he is doing everything he should.
As of now Wolff is the backup at strong safety. However, the battle is extremely close, so Wolff cannot afford to have any mishaps throughout camp.
Allen is the listed starter right now, and even if Allen gets supplanted, he still needs to work as hard as ever, because he will see snaps throughout the season whether he wins the strong safety job or not.
