K Nick Folk Will Continue Dominance In 2014 For New York Jets
It’s not often that a kicker gets a ton of attention unless they miss a game-winning field goal. Not in the case with Nick Folk and his clutch performance so far with the New York Jets.
Folk has done it all with the Jets and has been the most consistent athlete on the team during some rough seasons. Whenever the Jets’ offense couldn’t make things happen but at least got into field goal range, you’d better believe Folk would get it done and put some points on the scoreboard. Sure, he might not make all the huge headlines, but he’s always been about consistency.
Folk continues to make a name for himself so far in training camp, as he has been solid so far this summer. Expect to see another dominating season from him since he’s been preparing heavily to improve from last year. He hit 91% of his field goals as he contributed 126 points for the Jets. How does Folk plan to get even better stats this upcoming season? His offseason regimen that he took part of in California.
Earlier this summer, while most athletes went partying or in hiding on vacation until training camps began, Folk went to the golden state to keep working on his kicking skills. He took part in a special training program to improve his leg strength, accuracy and ability to make clutch field goals in tough situations. This special program has made Folk come back in the best shape he’s been in so far in his career. Coaches and teammates have all chimed in on how improved Folk has been and what he’ll be capable of doing this upcoming season.
In the end, Folk plans to be nearly flawless in every aspect of the kicking game. He’s worked incredibly hard to be the best and he won’t rest until he’s achieved it this season. He will dominate at his position and do his part in making the Jets a playoff contending team once again. One kick at a time.
