The New Orleans Saints are stacked at just about every position and may be looking at the most talented group of individuals the franchise has ever seen. Training camp and preseason is the time to step it up and prove yourself worthy of a spot on the final depth chart, so let's take a look at five players who are on the roster bubble for the Black and Gold.

5. CB Rod Sweeting

Rod Sweeting has been the favorite to jump into the cornerback rotation after playing in nine games last year. However, guys like Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick, Brian Dixon and Derrius Brooks could give him a run for his money. Nothing is guaranteed at the moment, so consider Sweeting on the roster bubble until the preseason comes to an end.

4. DE Rufus Johnson

Johnson, the Saints' sixth-round pick in 2013, has been looking good so far. He was limited to just being a member of the team's practice squad last season and will be looking to change that scenario this year. He offers nice hybrid upside as a pass rusher at both outside linebacker and defensive end, and has even been taking reps at nose tackle. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan loves these type of athletes.

3. FS Pierre Warren

Pierre Warren has probably been the biggest surprise at training camp up to this point. Whether it's batting down passes or reeling in the interception, the undrafted rookie out of Jacksonville State has been all over the field. If the Saints decide to keep an extra safety around, we could see Warren win the spot over guys like Marcus Ball and Ty Zimmerman.

2. QB Ryan Griffin

The second-year quarterback out of New Orleans' own Tulane University is quickly becoming the favorite to win the backup role over veteran Luke McCown. Griffin looks comfortable in the system and has really limited the mistakes by making excellent reads and accurate throws. If the Saints decide to keep three QBs, he's a lock, but could also very well make the final cut for a two-quarterback roster.

1. WR Nick Toon

Between injuries and boneheaded plays, Nick Toon has been stretching the patience of Saints fans for a couple of years now. With 11 receivers on the roster at the moment, the 2012 fourth-round pick will be battling just to keep his spot on the team. He's off to an excellent start at training camp, but will need to continue his strong play to seal the deal. The potential is there and the opportunity awaits.
