Most positions are already set for the Indianapolis Colts, but there will be some spots where players will battle for playing time. Let's take a look the top five position battles in training camp.

Everyone expects Reggie Wayne to return and take command of the top receiver slot. Hakeem Nicks, however, has not looked well in the first few days, which could leave room for T.Y. Hilton to slide to the other side of the field. Add Da'Rick Rogers and Donte Moncrief to the mix, and you have a potentially intriguing battle.

4. Running back

With Donald Brown gone and Vick Ballard hurt, running back could be an issue once again in Indianapolis. Ahmad Bradshaw and Trent Richardson are the top two backs, and while Richardson has looked good in camp, but will that translate when it counts? The battle for the top rushing slot should be wide open entering this fall.

3. Right guard

Will Chuck Pagano turn the keys at right guard over to the first-round draft pick immediately, or does Jack Mewhort need more seasoning? The former Ohio State standout could push Hugh Thornton, another Big Ten product (Illinois), down the depth chart to the second slot.

2. Defensive end

Cory Redding appears entrenched in the position, but could former Syracuse standout Arthur Jones make an impact? Anything is possible. Jones recorded 8.5 sacks over the past two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, a team known for its defense, and one of the Achilles' heels of the Colts has been its defensive line.

1. Defensive tackle

Ricky Jean Francois recorded 13 tackles in 10 games as a defensive tackle to go with 2.5 sacks, and the Colts promoted Jeris Pendleton from the practice squad in the offseason. While Francois should keep his starting job, Pendleton could push him a bit as the season progresses.
