Preseason football has already begun, and now it's time to see how all the preparation from training camps translates to on the field performance against opponents. With the New York Jets, a handful of 2014 NFL Draft picks have been somewhat of a letdown so far this summer. These five draft picks just aren't living up to the expectations.

Cornerback Dexter McDougle started off hot in training camp, but as it has progressed he has started to fade away on the field. It also didn't help his cause that he's now dealing with a nagging groin injury which is further hindering his development. The truth of the matter is he has the ability to become dominant but isn't pushing himself hard enough to get there. Only time will tell how he pans out towards the end of the summer.

4. WR Quincy Enunwa

Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa has been one of the most inconsistent draft picks so far during training camp. He misses easy passes thrown his way and isn't a good route runner. It also doesn't help that he started off with a hip injury and has been behind in progression.

3. TE Jace Amaro

Tight end Jace Amaro has struggled mightily so far in the transition from college football to the pros. He's running wrong routes and seems confused on the field the majority of time. He hasn't lived up to the expectations everyone hyped him up with, and he's having a really hard time adjusting.

2. WR Shaq Evans

Wide receiver Shaq Evans has been an absolute disaster so far during training camp. He's gone several practices without making a single play as his dropped passes and lack of skill is putting him on the outside looking in. To make matters even worse, he's now dealing with a shoulder injury. Evans was expected to bring a much-needed jolt to the Jets' offense, but he's been anything but that.

1. QB Tajh Boyd

Quarterback Tajh Boyd had a ton of potential to be a work in progress kind of athlete. Not only has he failed to dethrone Matt Simms on the Jets' depth chart as a third stringer, but he's been an interception machine. He's thrown too many picks with the few reps he's been getting to even warrant a roster spot. It's becoming more and more likely that Boyd was a draft mistake as he definitely has not lived up to expectations.
