With the Philadelphia Eagles opening up their NFL preseason schedule on Friday against the Chicago Bears, fans will have their eyes on many different elements of the team. Will Nick Foles continue to improve? Is the defense good enough for this team to contend? Will Chip Kelly’s offense be faster? Those questions may not be answered on Friday, however here are five things for fans to keep their eyes on during the preseason opener.
With Lane Johnson suspended for the first four games of the regular season, all eyes will be on Barbre and how he fares.
If he ever wants a chance to start in the NFL again, these preseason games may be Sanchez’s best chance for an audition for 2015.
It seems fans are forgetting the fact that Marcus Smith was Philadelphia's first-round pick. Jordan Matthews has wowed fans, as well as the team throughout camp, and has taken much of the glory away from Smith. However, everybody will be keeping an eye on both of these rookies on Friday night.
This is one position still up for grabs. Earl Wolff is listed atop the depth chart, however Nate Allen will not go down without a fight.
The guy arguably under the most pressure in 2014 will have plenty of questions early on. Not only for the fans, but himself as well.
