The players on this list from one through four could legitimately be completely interchangeable. The NFC East will be an entertaining division to watch during the 2014 NFL Season, with the starting quarterbacks having the opportunity to shine. Will there be more than one Philadelphia Eagle QB on this list? Here are the top-five quarterbacks within the NFC East.
This spot was between Sanchez and Kirk Cousins. Sanchez takes it down, as he is more proven combined with his impressive performance in Philadelphia’s preseason debut.
A year ago at this time, RGIII probably would have been No. 1 on this list. Now, there are serious questions about whether Griffin will ever regain his form from his rookie year. Combined with the fact Cousins has outperformed him throughout camp, Griffin has much to prove in 2014.
He is not higher on this list as a result of the 27 interceptions he threw in 2013. With serious questions surrounding the offense in New York, things may not get much better for Manning this season.
The biggest reason Romo is not No. 1 is because he is coming off serious back surgery. Reports have indicated he has not thrown the deep ball well in camp, and with him being 34 years old, Romo cannot afford another injury.
This is a bold statement to put Foles here. However, he seems to have extreme poise, and along with playing in Chip Kelly’s offense, has a great chance to take another step forward in 2014.
