After a pretty nice outing against the St. Louis Rams, the New Orleans Saints will look to improve their performance in Week 2. Let's take a look at five things to watch when the Black and Gold host the Tennessee Titans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Friday, Aug. 15.

Between OTAs and training camp, QB Ryan Griffin has quickly become the fan favorite to win the backup job over veteran Luke McCown. After a solid outing in St. Louis, another strong performance against Tennessee could help seal the deal for the former Tulane standout.

Nick Toon really needs a strong preseason performance or he could have trouble making the final 53-man roster. With three catches for only 11 yards against the Rams, look for the young wideout to step it in the Superdome. The 2014 fourth-round pick has tested the patience of Saints fans and coaches for a couple of years now.

3. Look For Brandin Cooks to Do it Again

Rookie Brandin Cooks looked solid in Week 1. If you didn't get to see his touchdown catch, I recommend you find it and watch it. His speed and versatility will play a huge role in that high-powered offense, and he showed it the first chance he got in St. Louis. I don't expect anything less from him next game; this kid can ball.

2. Is Mark Ingram Going to Run Angry Like He Did in St. Louis?

There was no stopping Mark Ingram last week. He ran all over one of the top front sevens in the NFL. We all know what the former Heisman Trophy winner is capable of doing, but can he be consistent at doing it? He'll have a much better matchup against the Titans, so let's see if the Saints can get another superb performance out of their running back.

After a slow start against the St. Louis Rams, it seemed like defense shook the rust off and played well for the most part. However, they still allowed some big plays, especially through the air. Let's see if Rob Ryan's unit can eliminate the mental errors and come away with a big game. A turnover or two would be a step in the right direction after not forcing one last week.
