The New York Jets would love to forget about everything that happened this week and cap it off with a win on Saturday night. They suffered some big injuries in the secondary and now they need to prove that they can rebound and still be a force on the defense side of the ball. Here are some things to look for when the Jets take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

The Louisville slugger will get his chance to step to the plate on Saturday night. A concussion knocked him out from playing in the first preseason game, but he is ready to get on the field and knock down some Bengals. Pryor is desperately needed by the Jets right now after its recent wave of injuries and he needs to add some fear into opposing offenses who dare to throw his way. Look for Pryor to play often and well in his first game.

The Jets had a total of nine penalties for 59 yards in their first game against the Indianapolis Colts. That number is way too high; they can't afford to give away free yards because this is a team that needs good field position to help out its offense. What the Jets need is some more explosive plays. They were very hesitant to take shots down field and open up the passing game, but instead played very safe and didn't want to commit turnovers.

Ding, ding, the bell rings and now it is officially the start of the Round 2 QB matchup between Vick and Smith. Despite Vick's solid game in Week 1, he did not convince me that he is the odds-on favorite to win the job. The Jets have pointed all signs at Smith being the No.1 guy unless he struggles mightily throughout the rest of the preseason. If Vick wants to earn the starting job, he needs to play like the Vick of 2002 and turn some heads.

2. Breakout Players On Offense

The Jets need someone to jump out in front and steal the spotlight in their Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. Big names like Chris Johnson and Eric Decker need to prove to fans why they were brought in during the offseason. The preseason is also the perfect opportunity for a young player or backup to breakout and prove to the team why they deserve more playing time.

Dexter McDougle is out for the season and Dee Milliner is gone for 3-4 weeks. What happens next with the New York Jets' secondary? Rex Ryan gave safety Antonio Allen some play at corner during practice and even though the team said they are not panicking, it seems like a panic move to me. It's hard to doubt Ryan and his defense, but just look at the names they have penciled in at the starting CB position; it's not a pretty situation.
