The new-look Cleveland Browns have high expectations for the 2014 season, but before the regular season starts, the Browns must trim down the roster to 53 players. This week, Cleveland will be taking on the Washington Redskins on Monday night in Week 2 of the preseason. Players on the cusp of making the roster must earn their spot by making big plays throughout preseason games. Here are five players who find themselves on the bubble in Week 2.

The Browns have plenty of options at WR in 2014, but many of them have not established themselves as mainstays on NFL rosters. Marlon Moore is in the mix for Cleveland, but was not targeted once during the team's first preseason game against Detroit. However, Moore did return a kick for over 50 yards, showing he's capable of making plays on special teams.

Safety Jim Leonhard was brought in as a veteran presence in Mike Pettine's defense. Leonhard has said this will be his last season, but unfortunately his preseason action may be his last. Cleveland has a number of young safeties along the roster, including Jordan Poyer and Josh Aubrey. Unless Pettine sees Leonhard as an extension of the coaching staff in the meeting room, he could be on his way out of Cleveland.

3. Isaiah Crowell, Running Back

Like the receiving group, the Cleveland Browns have a number of running backs in camp who could join Ben Tate and Terrance West on the roster. One of these players is undrafted rookie Isaiah Crowell, who did not see a carry during week one of the preseason. Instead, both Edwin Baker and Dion Lewis carried the ball three times each. Crowell did contribute on special teams, making a tackle. If cut, Crowell should catch on with another team.

The Browns held out many of their players in Week 1 due to injury and one of the most affected positions was linebacker. This gave several players significant playing time, and players like Barkevious Mingo and Paul Kruger seized their opportunities. Others like Zac Diles and Chris Kirksey put up solid numbers. Tank Carder, who has been hampered by injuries while with the Browns, had one tackle and could possibly be out in Cleveland.

When the Browns signed veteran quarterback Rex Grossman to the team, it was a strong signal that undrafted rookie Connor Shaw may be on his way to the practice squad as opposed to the active roster. Shaw did not throw a pass in the Browns' Week 1 loss, and could certainly be in the team's plans if Hoyer, Manziel or Grossman were to get hurt at some point during the season. Before Grossman was signed, Shaw was in competition with Tyler Thigpen.
