Admittedly, it is not easy to care about preseason football, given that score has absolutely no impact on the regular season. However, for the players on the field, preseason football is all that matters right now. Some guys are fighting to make the team, while others are doing everything in their power to develop their skills.

Here are five Minnesota Viking players to keep an eye on in Week 2 of the NFL preseason.

A sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Exum has been working his tail off this preseason to not only make the Vikings' 53-man roster, but discover what defensive back position fits his skill set best. The Virginia Tech alum has mostly been working at safety for the Vikings this preseason, but he has shown versatility leading many to believe he could play cornerback as well. Keep an eye on Exum as the Vikings' safety competition continues.

Another late-round draft pick in 2014, Watts was selected in the seventh round but has not played like it at all. He has performed well during practice and had a nice NFL debut against the Raiders last week, leading to an increased role during practice and a higher spot on the Vikings' depth chart than originally predicted. Keep an eye on Watts this week and moving forward, as he may be the reason a veteran LB loses their roster spot.

3. LB Anthony Barr

Barr has looked anything but raw so far this preseason, knowing his assignments and making plays all over the field. He is set to see an increased role this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals as he continues to solidify a starting spot at SLB.

With Linval Joseph out with an injury, Stephen, a rookie seventh-round pick, has been working quite a bit as the Vikings' first-team NT during practice. While Stephen came into the preseason with no guarantee of making the 53-man roster, he has been impressive and very well could end up as Joseph’s backup come the regular season.

1. QB Teddy Bridgewater

Bridgewater experienced his fair share of issues during his NFL debut against the Raiders, but he also did do a number of things well. However, he has struggled quite a bit this week, throwing multiple interceptions during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. With Matt Cassel playing very well, Bridgewater is slowly fading out of the QB competition in Minnesota. He must show improvements in his decision-making and anticipation skills this weekend.
