The roster bubble has not shifted much, with the first NFL preseason game being essentially as meaningless as the fourth. However, now with teams firmly entrenched in camp, any player who has a chance to be cut cannot take a play off. Starters will start to see more time Friday night when the Philadelphia Eagles play the New England Patriots, and it is important those players make the most of it. Here are five Philadelphia players on the bubble.
Before training camp started, it looked like there was legitimate chance Carey Spear would push Henery for the job. It seems that Henery has separated himself in the race, but he should not take anything for granted.
He makes this list again as a result of Nolan Carroll not being able to suit up last week. If Carroll is able to play on Friday and make an impact, Fletcher’s seat will begin to warm up.
The team just may not have a roster spot for him. With Brent Celek and Zach Ertz cemented on the depth chart, Casey may be given his walking papers by camp’s end. However, another team would most likely scoop him right up.
If final cuts were made today, he would most likely have a roster spot. However, Smith is in heavy competition for two spots. His ability on special teams is what may set him apart.
He did not do much to help himself last week against Chicago. Every snap he is in, Barkley needs to make the most of it, with CJ Kinne pushing him for the third QB spot.
