Sammy Watkins Burns Steelers CB With Nasty Double Move
If the Buffalo Bills can find a way to actually get Sammy Watkins the ball this season (yes, E.J. Manuel, we’re looking at you), their passing game will be in great shape. We’ve been hearing all through training camp and the preseason about how electric Watkins has been. First it was one-handed catches, and now the above video shows us just how athletic and quick he is when running routes.
Admittedly, the cornerback he burned, Lew Toller, is an undrafted rookie out of Western Michigan. Still, if he’s at an NFL training camp, you have to believe he’s seen moves like this before, albeit from lesser competition. Watkins, however, showed Toller exactly why the Bills traded up to get him with the No. 4 overall pick this past May.
Assuming Manuel can take a few steps as the Bills’ starting quarterback this season, Buffalo fans have every reason to be excited about Watkins’ future. Heck, even if Manuel doesn’t progress, there’s still plenty to look forward to when it comes to Watkins.
