Detroit had 26 attempts, but managed to gain just 52 yards on the ground. Detroit's leading rusher was fourth-string running back Mikel Leshoure, who finished with seven attempts for 23 yards.

Even without Calvin Johnson, the Detroit receivers each made several big plays. Golden Tate stepped us as the No. 1 receiver, recording three catches for 41 yards and a 28-yard touchdown. Kris Durham also caught a four-yard touchdown off a fade route, and both Jeremy Ross and Ryan Broyles led the team with 42 receiving yards.

After committing just five penalties in their first preseason game against Cleveland, Detroit looked sloppy against the Raiders, committing 11 for 74 yards.

Matthew Stafford was impressive in his second preseason game, completing nine of 10 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Dan Orlovsky also stepped up in his competition with Kellen Moore, completing eight of 12 passes for 153 yards.
