The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Miami Dolphins on Saturday in Week 2 of the NFL preseason. The preseason is a time for unproven players to carve out a role or even earn a starting job. With that in mind, here are five Buccaneers players to keep an eye on against the Dolphins.

Second-year cornerback Johnthan Banks has been competing with veteran Mike Jenkins for the No. 2 cornerback job opposite Alterraun Verner. With Jenkins and Verner still nursing hamstring injuries, Banks has a chance to solidify a starting job with a strong game against Miami.

Former second-round pick Da'Quan Bowers has been a disappointment his entire career. In an attempt to get more production out of him, the Buccaneers have been trying to use Bowers as an inside rusher on obvious passing downs. These last few preseason games will provide Bowers with a chance to finally prove his worth.

3. Jeff Demps, RB

After a devastating injury to rookie Charles Sims, it opened the door for another running back to make the Buccaneers' final roster. Jeff Demps has the speed to be a versatile weapon out of the backfield and on special teams. He is on the roster bubble, so a solid performance against the Dolphins could help Demps get back into contention for a roster spot.

2. Tommy Streeter, WR

Wide receiver Tommy Streeter is competing with Eric Page, Robert Herron, Lavelle Hawkins and Solomon Patton for one of the final receiver spots on the roster. Streeter has been excellent in camp, but unlike his competitors, he does not offer much in the way of special teams. Streeter will need to continue to standout as a receiver or start contributing on special teams if he hopes to stick on the roster.

The Buccaneers' starting offensive line, particularly guards Oniel Cousins and Jamon Meredith, was atrocious against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first preseason game. Both starting guard jobs are up for grabs, and the coaches have been rotating about four players at the position in practice. Second-year pro Jace Daniels is set to start against the Dolphins, and could lock down a starting job with a solid performance.
