Saturday's preseason matchup will feature the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings. Both teams enter with a preseason record of 1-0, and while preseason record is near irrelevant, the work and improvements made during games are critical.

Here are my five bold predictions for the exhibition showdown between the Cardinals and the Vikings.

5. Adam Thielen Will Excel Again

I have been high on Thielen since the beginning of Vikings training camp. He showed last week against the Oakland Raiders that he can produce as a wide receiver, and on special teams as a punt returner or coverage player. Expect Thielen to perform at a high level once again, as a strong performance tonight could seal a roster spot for him.

4. Troy Niklas Will Score

The rookie Niklas is currently listed on top the tight end depth chart in Arizona, but he failed to make any major offensive impact last week. With the first team expected to play more in Week 2, expect Niklas to have a strong game. Do not be surprised if Carson Palmer finds Niklas in the red zone for a touchdown.

3. Teddy Bridgewater Will Throw Multiple Interceptions

Bridgewater was not bad in his NFL debut against the Raiders, but his performance was a little underwhelming as he made a number of rookie mistakes. Reports have stated that Bridgewater has had a tough week, throwing multiple interceptions during seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 drills. Given his status as a rookie, do not be surprised to see him make more rookie mistakes in this game.

2. Logan Thomas Will Play Well Again

Thomas is the other rookie quarterback in this game. While Bridgewater gathers the headlines, Thomas has been the one performing well on the field. He completed 11 of 12 pass attempts last week against the Houston Texans and threw his first NFL touchdown. I expect a lot of the same in this game as the Vikings' secondary is still trying to redefine itself.

1. Matt Cassel Will Win Vikings' Starting QB Job

There is a growing suspicion in Minnesota that head coach Mike Zimmer will be naming his Week 1 starting QB very soon. With Bridgewater going through some rookie struggles and Cassel excelling, Cassel has taken a fairly clear edge in this positional battle. A strong game tonight from Cassel should result in Zimmer officially naming him the starter.
