The Denver Broncos were firing on all cylinders for the entire 60 minutes as they shutout the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 34-0. It was clearly a team effort this time around and it was very difficult to pick five players who really stood out in the win, but here are my five Broncos players who turned heads in Week 2.

In his second season with the Broncos, Zac Dysert was able to get into the game in the third quarter and finished out the game. He finished the game eight for 11 passing for 63 yards and a touchdown. Not great stats, but for a player who does not get a whole lot of playing time, I was impressed.

Cody Latimer only had one reception for the entire game, but boy was it a beauty. Brock Osweiler gets credit for placing it where only Latimer can catch it, but the effort he made to catch the football was impressive. Hopefully, we will get to see more of Latimer in the next couple of weeks.

3. Omar Bolden

One of the players that I said would have to impress this week, Omar Bolden did exactly that. He disrupted some of the 49ers wide outs and made a couple big plays in the cornerback role. His strong showing might have gotten him off the roster bubble for now.

2. Juwan Thompson

The main reason Juwan Thompson is on this list is how he extended the play on one of the few times he touched the football. He managed to completely truck one of the 49ers safeties and kept moving all the way down to the one-yard line. This man is a workhorse and hopefully we will see more of him in the next preseason contest.

The future of the franchise gave fans even more hope in his showing this afternoon. Osweiler finished the day 10 of 13 passing for 105 yards and the beauty touchdown bomb to Cody Latimer. While he states that he has more work to do, as a fan, I am impressed with what he has shown so far. The sky is the limit for Osweiler and it will be fun to see once he takes over.
