Last year the Buffalo Bills saw four players selected to the Pro Bowl, all from the defensive side of the ball: Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Marcell Dareus and Jairus Byrd. While Byrd is now in New Orleans, the Bills still have several players who could be heading to Hawaii this year. Here are the most likely candidates.

While it is pretty rare to see a rookie selected to the Pro Bowl, Watkins isn’t just any rookie. He is one of the most talented wide receivers to come into the NFL in the past few years and has shown it through training camp and the preseason. As Buffalo’s No. 1 WR, Watkins will be seeing a lot of passes thrown his way, meaning he could put up some big numbers in 2014.

Spikes spent four very good seasons with the New England Patriots, but he never made the Pro Bowl in any of them. He has a chance to make his first Pro Bowl trip in his first season with the Bills. Spikes has already shown his value as a run-stuffer in the preseason, and with the loss of Kiko Alonso, Spikes will become even more of a centerpiece of Buffalo’s defense.

Spiller was selected to the Pro Bowl after a breakout season in 2012. Many thought he would repeat the feat last year, but injuries and inconsistency kept Spiller from reaching elite status. With a clean bill of health in 2014, Spiller has the chance to reestablish himself as one of the most dangerous and dynamic running backs in the NFL.

2. DT Kyle Williams

Despite being constantly overlooked as a result of playing for some poor teams, Williams has been selected to the Pro Bowl in three of the past four seasons, meaning there are those out there who rightfully see him as one of the best DTs in football. Williams is able to dominate in the middle, because the Bills’ defensive line is so talented that opponents can’t afford to double-team any one man.

Williams made his first Pro Bowl as a Buffalo Bill last year after posting 13 sacks, the second-highest total of his career. The former No. 1 overall pick was selected to two other Pro Bowls as a member of the Houston Texans. As one of the most physically dominating players in the league, Williams is arguably the best player on a very good Buffalo defense. If he keeps playing the way he has, another trip to Hawaii is in the cards.
