Regardless of what anyone says, it is still an honor to be selected for the Pro Bowl. Yes in some cases it is a popularity contest, but quality players can still be selected to the teams. The Colts have a lot of top tier talent on their team, and these five players can have a breakout year and make the Pro Bowl.

After signing a big contract in the offseason, the Colts are expecting Davis to play at an elite level this year. He is going to be matched against other team’s No. 1 options, and there will be plenty of chances to boost his numbers. Davis has shown flashes of elite play, and if he can do that over a full season while staying healthy he is going to have a good chance at making the Pro Bowl.

Last year Hilton proved that he could carry the offense as the No. 1 receiver. Defenses were forced to pay attention to him and double him on every play. This year is going to be different because defenses are going to be forced to cover Reggie Wayne and Hakeem Nicks. This is going to allow for more one-on-one chances, and Hilton could take advantage of those matchups en route to his first Pro Bowl.

The third-year linebacker out of the CFL has played a vital role in the Colts defense over the past two seasons. He excels when he is asked to play in space. With the addition of D’Qwell Jackson to the roster, Freeman is going to be able to play in coverage a lot more. That should allow him to play at a higher level and make a big impact on the football field.

This one is a very obvious choice. For the majority of his career, Luck has been one of the best quarterbacks in the AFC. He is right on the heels of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in terms of skill level, and this year he is surrounded by good offensive weapons. He should be able to put up strong numbers and could make another trip to the Pro Bowl.

After missing 15 games last year, the Colts are excited to have Dwayne Allen back in the starting lineup. He is an impact player for the Colts. He is an elite blocker and is a matchup nightmare for defensive coordinators. He brings a lot of versatility to the offense and could get a lot of attention in the AFC. Allen could be the second best tight end in the AFC by the end of the year.
