Week 3 of the preseason will showcase most NFL team's starting units for at least three quarters, giving fans and coaches alike the first real chance to see what the regular season has in store for 2014. Most of the St. Louis Rams' roster spots are already accounted for, but there are still a few players in position battles that will be interesting to follow.

Here's a look at five players to keep an eye on during Rams vs. Browns on Saturday.

Bayer is currently fighting for the final spot on the TE depth chart, and he has a solid chance of cementing his place with another strong performance this weekend against the Cleveland Browns. He shined in Week 1 against New Orleans with five catches for 71 yards and a 14.2 YPR average. Bayer only made one reception last weekend against Green Bay, but he undoubtedly has a leg up on Justice Cunningham to make to 53-man roster.

Sam recorded his first career sack against the Packers and seems to have increased his chances of making the team each week. However, the Rams' defensive line is incredibly deep, and Ethan Westbrooks has put up a huge fight for a spot which could hurt Sam's chances. A standout performance from either player against the Browns will make a world of difference for each of their designs of starting the 2014 season on the 53-man roster.

Westbrooks has already recorded seven tackles, one sack and three QB hits thus far into the preseason and has made an undeniable impression on head coach Jeff Fisher and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. One must think Fisher and Williams would love to find a way to break camp with both Sam and Westbrooks on the roster, but Westbrooks would undoubtedly increase his chances with a nice showing in Cleveland.

Reynolds is known more for his scrappy play on special teams than he is for his ability to carry the ball, but with a recent season-ending injury to fourth-string RB Isaiah Pead, Reynolds has a path to secure a spot on the 53-man roster if he continues playing the way he has this preseason.

All eyes will be on Bradford this weekend. He looked great in limited duty against Green Bay last week, but any quarterback coming off of knee surgery has to feel a bit apprehensive about their comeback with opposing defenses constantly flying at their legs. A strong performance against Cleveland's defense will undoubtedly alleviate some nerves for Bradford and Fisher and will have the Rams heading into the season with playoff intentions.
